Are you looking at purchasing an ereader? They’re today’s hottest digital devices. Though they aren’t as expensive as many other digital devices, they’re enough of an investment that you won’t want to get stuck with one that you don’t like. * Screen size: If you need a magnifying glass when you read, the screen is too small. On the flip side, a bigger screen means a bigger device: one that’s too big might be awkward to hold and transport. Handle different devices so that you can really compare different screen sizes before buying.
* Page turner: Touch-screen ereaders allow users to turn “pages” with a finger sweep. Others have joystick-type controls for page turning. Some users don’t seem to mind either way. Other people find the finger-sweep easier than the joystick page turner. Again, try out different types if possible before you spend your money.
* Number of books you get access to: If you read a lot or you like to be among the first to read new books when they’re released, you may want to consider a device with lots of book options. If you don’t mind waiting till books are a little older, or you don’t read a lot, you might be able to pick a better device even if it has a smaller selection. It’s ultimately a matter of personal preference and reading style. Just be sure that you know before you buy how many books are available through a particular ebook reader.
Other features like backlighting and download speed may also influence your choice to a certain degree. Again, these factors will have to be weighed against some of the other features and benefits of different ereaders.
